01Contributions

Contributions to the Council are voluntary and are generally not refundable, because they are applied to programme work on receipt.

the transaction was unauthorised;

a technical error resulted in an incorrect charge.

Requests should be made within ReviewInsert the window the Council will honour — commonly 7 to 14 days from the transaction of the transaction, quoting the transaction reference.

02How refunds are made

An approved refund is made to the original payment method through the payment gateway.

Refunds are normally credited within ReviewInsert the timeline once confirmed with the payment gateway — typically 5 to 10 working days of approval, subject to your bank or card issuer.

Where a tax receipt has already been issued, it will be cancelled and you will be notified, as the contribution can no longer be claimed.

03Programme and event registrations

Where a programme or event carries a fee, its own cancellation terms will be stated at the point of registration and will take precedence over this general policy.

ReviewEstablish a standard cancellation and transfer schedule for paid programmes and events before any paid registration opens.

If IPEC cancels or postpones a programme or event, registered participants will be offered a transfer or a full refund.
